The County representatives met with delegation of St. Vincent and Grenadines lead by the Consul-General Selmon Walters to discuss next steps in the Sister Islands Initiative. Several ideas were developed including organizing a festival on Martha's Vineyard to introduce the St. Vincent art, craft, music and food to our residents and visitors. Another suggestion was to start an e-pal program between the students with similar curiculum that would focus on our common whaling history and other subjects to benefit both sides. The meeting was televized and will be available to be viewed on-line soon.
