Looking for Women Veterans

Looking for a Few Good Women!
The Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services Women Veterans’ Network (WVN) is looking for a few thousand good women who served in the military.
It is estimated that there are more than 28,000 women veterans living within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Fewer than half are registered in WVN’s Database of Women Veterans. The database is a confidential listing of female Massachusetts residents who served in the military. The WVN uses it as a mailing list for its biannual newsletter, which provides information on benefits, programs, resources, and events of interest to women veterans.
There are many resources for veterans in the Commonwealth. Did you know that each VA Medical Center (located in Bedford, Boston, Brockton, and Northampton) has a Women Veterans’ Program Manager to assist women with their healthcare needs? Call the nearest VA Medical Center to connect with this advocate. Additionally, every town and city employs a veterans’ agent whose role is to assist women and men in accessing their veterans’ benefits. Call the County of Dukes County at 508-693-6887 to speak to your local Veterans’ Agent about benefits for which you may be eligible.
If you or someone you know is a woman who served in the military, please contact the Women Veterans’ Network for more information, 617-210-5781 or
