The Housing Crisis on Martha’s Vineyard
Is a result of increasing demand for rental housing and seriously diminishing supply
Has a catastrophic impact on the most vulnerable citizens
Chronically homeless individuals with disabilities
Families who have winter rentals and no summer housing
Individuals who live in places that are not meant for human habitation
Approximately 100 individuals and/or families are faced with homelessness on MV each year.
That does not include residents in “summer shuffle"
