Dukes County Emergency Management provides coordination between the towns during emergencies like Hurricanes and Winter storms. We also provide backup communication and information forwarding to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

The agency focuses on education, planning, and implementation of disaster plans and procedures for Dukes County Employees, Dukes County Property and The Friends of Dukes County.
The Dukes County Emergency Management Department is headed by a Director appointed by the County Commissioners for 1 year.
